Description

A five step process for producing Health Level Seven (HL7) interface specifications. This is applicable to all of the 2.x versions. If you're new to HL7, this will put you on the right track from the start!

Project managers, analysts, designers, programmers.

Goals

To provide a systematic process for HL7 interface analysis and design of an HL7 specification that can be used by interface programmers and interface engine specialists.

After the session, you should be able to:

• follow the 5-Step analysis process for a sending HL7 interface
• be able to recognize and categorize issues as they arise
• understand how to resolve issues when they surface.
